Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be flexible?
Absolutely not, you go at your pace starting at whatever your baseline may be. Yoga is a personal journey, much like martial arts. It isn’t about what you can do compared to anyone else. It is about your personal improvement. You will notice your flexibility increase with the practice of yoga, whether using modified or full poses.

What if I can’t do a pose?
No problem! Most of us can’t do a pose the first time we try. Just try your best and we will help you modify to a level you can do in a way you will still get the same benefits and work your way into being able to do the pose and much more!

What does Namaste mean, and do we have to say it?
In short, namaste is a term that is often used in yoga practice. It basically means “the good (divine) in me recognizes and sees the good in you”. Of course you don’t have to say it! Each to their own. When you know what it means, using the term can help you reflect on the concept of the good in everybody.
